Based on DLP technology, the InFocus IN5148HD device delivers 5000 ANSI lumens, a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080 and a contrast of 12000:1 as a projector. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 3000 hours for this projector's lamp. To facilitate room installation, the device is equipped with mechanical lens shift and additional keystone correction. Precise setup distances can be determined in the Distance Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 718 cm can be illuminated with 5000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 479 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P as well as 3D are supported. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs. Thanks to support for optional Miracast and Airplay, screen content can also be cast wirelessly from a smartphone, tablet, or PC to the screen. The projector was released in 2016 and is officially no longer distributed by InFocus.
