The hardware properties of the 4K Cinema manufactured by Formovie include 2100 ANSI lumens, a UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160 resolution and a contrast value of 3000:1. With its built-in laser light source, the projector achieves a manufacturer-stated lifespan of 25000 hours – calculating to 17.1 years at four hours of use per day. A special feature is the short-throw lens, which allows the device to be positioned at a very short distance from the screen. According to the data sheet, an image width of 2 meters is achieved from a distance of just 46 cm. Regarding projection size, the value of 2100 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 466 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 311 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P and 4K as well as 3D are supported, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. Furthermore, thanks to Android TV, the projector functions as a standalone entertainment center for various video-on-demand services. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Thanks to support for optional Chromecast, screen content can also be cast wirelessly from a smartphone, tablet, or PC to the screen. Since entering the market in 2022, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database.
