The AURA 3 Pro model is a 3D-DLP projector from XGIMI, intended for Short Distance applications, offering 5125 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 7000:1 at UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160. With its built-in laser light source, the projector achieves a manufacturer-stated lifespan of 30000 hours – calculating to 20.5 years at four hours of use per day. For basic image adjustment, the device is equipped with horizontal and vertical keystone correction, allowing digital compensation for trapezoidal distortion at angled projection setups. A special feature is the short-throw lens, which allows the device to be positioned at a very short distance from the screen. According to the data sheet, an image width of 2 meters is achieved from a distance of just 33 cm. Because the manufacturer specifies brightness in ISO lumen values, we have determined an ANSI lumen value for better comparability. Regarding projection size, the value of 5125 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 516 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 344 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K as well as 3D, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. Equipped with Google TV, the device provides direct access to a broad spectrum of streaming services. For wireless audio output, the projector also supports Bluetooth, making it easy to quickly connect external soundbars. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Since the projector supports Chromecast screen mirroring, video signals can also be streamed wirelessly from the end device.
