Behind the name Viper is a LED-DLP projector by Planar, whose main features include 2000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 10000:1 and a HDTV 1280 x 720 resolution. According to Planar, the included lamp lasts up to 2500 hours. A look at the light output reveals: The 2000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 454 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 303 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. The projector was released in 2008 and is officially no longer distributed by Planar.
