The hardware properties of the BeamPod PicoMax manufactured by Lumex include 65 ANSI lumens, a VGA 640 x 480 resolution and a contrast value of 1000:1. Lumex lists a runtime of 20000 hours for the LED in this projector. Daily use of 4 hours makes an operational lifespan of over 13.7 years possible. Looking at practical performance, up to 70 cm can be illuminated with 65 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 47 cm. The projector was released in 2014 and is officially no longer distributed by Lumex.
