The technical data of the Davis DL 450 includes 600 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 230:1 as well as a SVGA 800 x 600 display. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 4000 hours before a replacement is necessary – mathematically sufficient for 5.5 years based on two hours of use per day. Looking at practical performance, up to 213 cm can be illuminated with 600 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 142 cm. Since entering the market in 1999, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. Standard-Portabel | External training and company presentations, as well as product presentations. Small screen width, rooms with very little ambient light below 50 lumens.
We have purchased this projector. As we don‘t have particularly stable walls, it is difficult to mount the projector on the wall. An alternative option would be to place the device on a table. However, the screen would then have to be rotated.
Does anyone have any idea how to turn the screen or the easiest way to solve the problem?

Also only black and white picture
My DL 450 also only brings black and white picture, via composite (yellow) as well as s-video..but via composite is the best picture...
So I am also missing everything that goes with it, the manual, the remote control, the software, and the cables....
So what can I do ????

Hello friends of the DL 450
I recently purchased this projector on the net,
but unfortunately without operating instructions.....
So now I have the problems:
How do I connect in.
Black and white picture.
Ceiling installation.
Cleaning.
ect........

Faithful companion for almost 8 years
In use since early 1999, first lamp, no repairs, picture like on the first day, zero maintenance, over 4000 hours in use; it‘s hard to buy a new projector, even if it can‘t keep up with the latest technology.

Reliable workhorse since mid-2000
Reliable workhorse since mid-2000, is loud, but the 8 subwoofers are fortunately louder. Once new bulb, approx. 400 Euro incl. installation, sensitive to dust in the device, as no filters are installed, -> hair and lint in rainbow colors in the picture, approx. 6500 hours
