Based on LCD technology, the Viewsonic PJ520 device delivers 2000 ANSI lumens, a resolution of SVGA 800 x 600 and a contrast of 350:1 as a projector. According to Viewsonic, the lamp has a durability of 2000 hours. To compensate for angled projection positions, the model features 2D keystone correction, which digitally corrects trapezoidal distortion. Looking at practical performance, up to 389 cm can be illuminated with 2000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 259 cm. This model dates back to 2004 and is no longer part of Viewsonic's current product range.
