• Your LED display announces 'replace the lamp'
  
• The projector displays that a bulb replacement is due in the OnScreen Menu.
  
• Your picture darkens by and by, by what the colours and also the contrast fade.
  
• There is a flickering of the screen.
  
• The light bulb counter announces that maximal life expectancy is reached.
  
• You can't switch on the projector anymore, because the bulb has reached the end of its normal bulb life.
  
• After a couple of minutes the projector switches off by itself.
  
• The frame of the picture is shaded and dark; the brightness does not suffice for the whole illumination level anymore.
  
• The bulb is broken. (Picture:1).
• The bulb at the end of the lamp bulb is covered by a smoke screen (Picture:2). This effect does not occur on every lamp.

Please keep in mind that these lamps can't be checked by a continuity tester because the two tungsten electrodes don't contact.
